Charon

Charon is the boatman who ferries the buried dead over the river Styx of the underworld, as an old retainer of Hades. To pay the fare, the dead got a coin laid under their tongues.

Those not buried had to wait on the banks of the Styx for one hundred years. Charon was not allowed to take the living as passengers without special dispensation by the gods.

This waste of life and time, is in fact timelessness, and where Sailor Charon gets her title, and her powers.
