Tengai is a quiet version of the genki schoolgirl. She is sweet, upbeat
and always ready to smile. She has a soft heart, and wants everyone to be at
ease around her. She is shy, and hates confrontations of any kind, but if she
feels someone is being badly treated, she will step in.
She is very
soft-spoken and when she is nervous, may stammer. She blushes easily.
She tends to worry
about things not under her control.
Tengai will take
insults and teasing without retaliation, which some view as weak. She cries
easily, but not without reason.

like her. She wants attention and shies away from it at the same time. This
could be because of her family life.

Present Day
History: (When speaking of her life in America I
refer to her as Tawnie, in Japan as Tengai) Tawnie is from San Diego,
California. She comes from a middle class upbringing with her 18-year-old
sister Maya. Her father works for IBM as a computer programmer. Their mother and father were often away on
business trips to different parts of the US and Japan, leaving them to their
own devices.
This has polar
effects on the two girls. Maya becomes wild, experimenting with drugs and
bringing boys home with her at odd hours. Tengai just became more introverted
and cleaned up after her sister’s messes, acting more like the older sibling.
Maya hates her for this. More recently,
her sister has been coming home scraped, bruised and nastier than ever,
shooting her dirty looks whenever possible. This makes Tawnie very uneasy.
Tawnie’s father
creates an operating system that could bring IBM to the forefront of the
industry, and so the family moves to Japan so that he can work more closely
with the programmers there.
This drags Tengai into a world totally
foreign to anything she knows and loves. She doesn’t speak Japanese at all and
is forced to go to a school that has totally foreign customs and rules. She is
like a fish out of water, until she finds Tskui. Tskui is the only one who
speaks English with practical fluency, and they become very good friends.

senshi and a civilian, she is an empath. She can sense and feel the way the
people around her do. This makes her well able to decide if someone is lying.

Fuku: Miranda wears the basic outer moon senshi
fuku (modified "super" fuku). Her tiara is gold with a pale green
gem. Her choker is deep green with a pale green star charm. She
wears three earrings in each ear, all of them dark green teardrops. Her cape is
deep green with one white stripe. The transparent sleeves are very pale green.
The front bow is kelly green with a deep green heart brooch. The body suit is
white. Her skirt is kelly green with a thick deep green stripe along the bottom
edge. Her gloves are white with kelly green bindings. She wears kelly green
flats with spiral ribbons winding up to the knees. (Never understood how senshi
could run in heels, all my senshi have flats ^_^)

Animal Guide: Apollo the cat. Sailor Miranda is the only
one of the moon senshi with a guide. She adopted a kitty from the pound before
she was awakened, and she named him Apollo. His only relation to the other
kitties is the fact that he is from the planet Mau. He is a dark golden brown
(like Tengai's eyes) with a green Miranda symbol on his forehead (the symbol of
Uranus underscored by a crescent moon). Apollo is not very serious, and his
memories of the Silver Millennium are just as limited as the moon senshi's. He
is more of a morale booster than a good trainer
Attacks:
Melancholy Kiss:
She closes her eyes, and a glistening tear falls. Miranda opens her hands and
cups the tear. Raising her hands to her face, she kisses the tear and a
transparent version of herself appears next to the enemy, which then kisses the
enemy, and they begin to glow pale green; This attack causes the enemy to fall
into slumber until they are destroyed by another. The attack is not restricted,
meaning she can do it without the attack sequence if necessary to attack
multiple enemies or if her hands are tied.
Innocence block:
Crossing both hands in front of her face, Miranda gathers a sphere of bright
green light. She strikes both hands out to her sides and expels the energy as a
protective shield for a fallen companion or herself; it defends one companion
from one attack, or lessens the blow considerably for the whole group
Fighting Styles:
Miranda is not much of a fighter at all. Her senshi powers are very
weak. She actually does more good as a human shield.

History:
Born of King Aldus
and one of his concubines, Hecate was never allowed the title of princess.
Being not directly of Royal blood, it was not expected of her to become a
senshi like her half sister Wren. She was raised to work in the temple as an
initiate.
She was a calm and
quiet soul who always did her work without complaint. She quickly climbed the
ranks, and by her fifteenth birthday, became High Priestess. She was a powerful
psychic, and took the notice of Queen Serenity when she began to divine the
good and evil of those brought before her in the temple. The Queen, on matters
of state, often consulted her.
She never married,
and remained a virgin; she believed that this focused her abilities more
keenly. She did, however fall in love with the boy Eliander. But he died in her
20th year.
Her sister was sent
to become a senshi after The Princess of Pandora broke precedent. Soon though,
Wren went missing just after the rumors of Beryl’s army reached the planet
Uranus. As a panicked last resort, Miranda sent their priestess to become her
replacement to defend their small land from peril. But being not of direct
relation to the queen, Hecate’s powers were a poor replacement, and when the Darkness
blanketed the land, she fell. Alone. Taking the powers of a senshi destroyed
her psychic powers.
